ALERT:  End of Year Trip Registration – Overdue!!! If you have not yet submitted your registration form for the end of the year trips, please do so as soon a s possible. We need to know how many students to anticipate. The criteria for eligibility started being tracked before break. Here it is for your convenience:

Explore Basketball Schedules (Boys and Girls)  Please come out and support our girls and boys basketball teams!

Filmmaking Workshops – NEW Program!  Explore is providing a new extra-curricular program starting in January on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  We will work with teaching artists from We Major to make our own documentary!  Students interested must submit an application essay by Wednesday, January 8th and commit to all 25 sessions including weekend field trips.  See a draft schedule on the back of the Blue Memo.  For the application, check in with Ms. Baer – jbaer@explorenetwork.org.

Plan Ahead February 5 & February 12 Curriculum Nights Every parent should be supporting their student at home to prepare for the ELA and Math exams.  Take an hour out of your schedule and see what they’re working and learn how you can help at home!  Parent support is important!

Popcornolpolis Winners!

We are happy to announce that our winners of the Popcornolpolis fundraising competition for Explore
are:  4B – 1st Place,  3A – 2nd Place, KA – 3rd Place.  Special Kudos to Ms. Lakinda Brown was our top seller for the faculty!

These 3 classes have won special class trip to be announced in January.  We understand given the cold weather, we will allow teachers to differ to spring if they so choose

Title 1 Family Meeting – October 30th

Wednesday, October 30th at 5 pm!

As required under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Title I schools
must ensure that families of Title I participating children are informed about
the school’s participation in the Title I program and to provide them with
information on how they can be involved in support of their children’s
education.
